Welcome!
The Hugo Business Association (HBA) exists to support local business through mutually beneficial relationships. Established by a group of business owners in the Hugo area, the association takes its spirit of unity and cooperation and focuses on the business of maintaining current patrons and attracting new customers to Hugo. Through the work of the Hugo Business Association, customers are encouraged to shop locally and support their own community and economy.

Community Events
The HBA shares the excitement of doing business locally through its late winter Kids-Biz Extravaganza (held in cooperation with Hugo’s newspaper The Citizen), through a local business trade show held during Hugo’s summer Good Neighbor Days (in cooperation with the Lion’s Club), and through links to local businesses via this website. The association also sponsors an annual St. Croix Riverboat ride in late summer to give HBA members a chance to share stories and relax with one another in a casual, non-business setting.

Business Support
The Hugo Business Association provides business owners a support system for working with other businesses, the Hugo community at large, as well as City Hall. Hugo is a rapidly growing community. Since its creation in 2002, the Hugo Business Association has advocated that growth and strives to make living and working in Hugo a fun experience for all. Members of the HBA strongly support the community by donating to local schools and parks as part of an important heritage that makes the community a better place to live.
